Buying Group Membership Opportunity
Many of our members have used the Co-op umbrella to achieve a membership discount in the AmeriNet buying group. AmeriNet (www.amerinet-gpo.com) as a national buying group that sell most of the products that clinics and hospital need at
reduced rates.
There is an annual membership fee that is tiered for clinics with a minimum being about $1,600
for a 1-5 physician clinic. Through the co-op, any clinic can join at approximately $120 per FTE physician per year. By FTE clinics calculate the number of Ffull tim Members can easily save the amount of their annual dues within 1-2 purchases. Sign up for next year is now by November 28th, 2003. Quality Corner
Mendy Lange has resigned as Quality Manager effective October 1st. She was in on Wednesdays during the month of October and
November to finish up project work and train in Paula Soine.
Paula has a background that includes graduating magna cum laude from SSU, and experience as an A/P, Payroll and H/R specialist in a 200+ employee multi-state company, a Grant Program Manager at SW MN Foundation, and various other positions with management and computer focus. During the Quality Council meeting on October 22, 2003 we discussed the details of what our QI project requirements would be for next year for Blue
Plus. We also discussed the topic for next year’s clinic patient satisfaction survey and possible changes in the hospital patient satisfaction surveys.
If your primary care clinic is behind on their project reporting for this year, we ask that you get the project data in ASAP.
We have 1 clinic that is behind on the Immunization Project and eight that are behind on data submission for the Diabetes Project. The last measurement for the Diabetes Care Project was scheduled for September 30, with reports due at the MRHC October 15.
Each primary care clinic also needs to be working on a patient feedback intervention project for this year. Reports will need to be in by the
end of the year. This project needs to follow the complete PDCA cycle. If you have questions on these projects, please contact us.
