MRHC Costs & Benefits 2007
COSTS
Stock one time fee and refunded at Par (original face value) when you leave.
- Clinics - $1,000 per physician (MDs & DOs)
- Hospitals - $150 per state licensed bed
Annual Dues
- Physicians - $956.52 per physician per year
- Hospitals - $144.74 per bed per year
Other periodic costs
- Non-physician credentialing $300 per time, now every 2 years ($150 per year)
BENEFITS
Contracting
Centralized contracting, single signature contracting superceding existing contracts, members could add contracts MRHC doesn’t
have, MRHC reviews all contracts and recommends good (reimbursement and terms) ones and rejects poor ones.

- Delegated credentialing, all but Medica, no “cherry-picking”, one set of forms, and one site visit. MRHC will soon provide
credentials verification part of hospital privileging.
- Administrative support regarding contracts, liaison role with health plans, work on your behalf to solve problems you haven’t been
able to solve.
- Assistance with health plan mandated Quality Assurance projects, do majority of patient satisfaction survey work, and do annual QA
and quarterly complaint reporting.
Group Purchasing
- HIPAA Answers - web based solutions 40% discount = $3,000 vs. $5,000. Maintenance 20% of reduced purchase price.
- Advantage Amerinet/Intermountain Health Care (IHC) – normal rate for each clinic separately determined by clinic size (e.g. 1-5
physician = $1,600/yr & 6-10 physician = $2,100/yr, etc.), we prepay and share cost $189.35/physician/yr. Also assistance with setup and/or purchasing group purchasing for best tier (1,2,3).
- Mobile Computer Support contracted computer support and HIPAA staff services. MCSI’s normal rate $75/hr (which is very competitive) is $55.00/hr through MRHC with no charge for mileage within 30 mile radius from Granite Falls, and no hourly charge for windshield time. Without a contract the hourly charge is $71.50/hr.
- Group Purchasing Projects - usually 30-50% discount: flu vaccine, coding books, Microsoft software, DOT forms, and whatever members
think of.
